This program is designed to give an intuitive feel for chaos on the real line. By the very nature of chaotic systems and computer math, results will not be accurate beyond 64 iterations and usually much less.
On-line help is provided.
This program will hog the CPU and should not be used while you are expecting network events. This also won't work on a Quadra with caches on.
If you are interested in writing your own plug-in functions, read the file
entitled FunctionTemplate.p. If you want to add a function to your copy permenantly, using ResEdit, open up a function plug in, copy the resource of type 'Func', open up 1-D Chaos Explorer, open up the 'Func' resources, and paste. If the resource ID conflicts with an existing resource, use the Unique ID button on the alert box that Resedit provides.
Multifinder-compatible, runs on system 7, and runs in color on color Macintosh's.
